I am 2 months in default on my land trust deed on my home. I have tried to reason and work something out with the deed holder on the payment, but they are unwilling to bend. That sucks for me, and I understand.

I lost my job, and things are tough right now. I looked up help on HUD and other .gov sites to seek relief, however because the loan isn't guaranteed by Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac, there is nothing they can do to help.

Can anyone tell me my options?

I did get a Notice of Default.

Should I look for another place to live? What are my rights in this situation?

Thank you.
