A friend of mine has a radio shack bill showing as a charge off on his credit report when it was included as bankruptcy. How should he go about getting it removed or to show as IIB. I have heard that you should not dispute something thru the credit reporting agencys as IIB. Does anyone know if this is true and why???

Dawn: Sounds like your friend really should take an interest in credit repair.

Have him go over to http://www.creditboards.com and check out the newbie section. It will explain the premise of why you shouldn't start disputing as Included in Bankruptcy. It's far more to your benefit to dispute the item as not mine. Why would you dispute this as not mine???? If it's reporting as a charge off and was included in his bankruptcy - how could it be his??? Get it???
