Arizona..
I am parent of son who will turn 18 in one month. He's been dating a girl for over a year, she will turn 18 in 6 months.

Girls mother wants to prevent relationship, and has had my son served with injunction to prevent harrasment. Am unaware of any proof of harrassment, except perhaps teenage language squabbles. Son has requested hearing, takes place next week.

Questions: Can girl go to hearing on her own behalf? If order is not lifted, and they are seen together, what are the consequences? Does girl have any rights as she is still a minor? What is age of consent in Az, is it different than age of majority? Can girl emancipate herself?

Is there anything these two teens are able to do to have injunction lifted...the surest way of forcing them together is to demand they stay apart.

Any advice is appreciated.
