What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Florida

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Florida

Yesterday (1/28/2013) I was eating a Sweethearts candy When There turned out to be a piece of metal embedded into the middle of the candy, I didn't realize this until It had cut my gums / tongue. I still have the piece of candy in my possession along with pictures.

I have made contact with the company and expressed my concern.

The company has asked me if I wish to file an insurance claim?... Does this mean some kind of compensation?

The injuries were not severe enough to seek medical attention... Would I still have a claim?.

Thank you

If you have no physical damage, you don't really have a claim. By not seeking out medical advice or treatment, there is little chance for more than some candy for your trouble.

If you did not seek medical attention then there is no reason for you to file a claim. You did not win the lawsuit lottery. They may send you some coupons or free candy for your trouble.

I'm not looking for the "lawsuit lottery" as some have said.... I did get a tetanus shot for fear of infection from the metal... But I understand that it doesn't constitute medical attention directly related to the injury. Do I have any chance of showing injury to the insurance company without medical attention directly after the incident?
Thank you
