What is the name of your state? PA

I am disabled from an accident and have been out of work for a year. Recently i have found out from my doctors that my return to work this year will be highly unlikely.

Because I have debt incurred prior to my injury and my income is not adequate to pay off the debt now; I'd like to know is there any legal remedy for me, such as a bankruptcy, for me to resolve this debt?

What sort of debt do you wish to discharge in bk?
In general, student loans, court ordered child/spousal support and some back taxes can't be discharged.
Things like medical debt, credit cards, auto loans, etc. can be discharged.

Your first step should be to speak with a couple of bk lawyers and get all of your options explained.
