I live in CA. I married a Mexican citizen in 98 and filed all the required paperwork to obtain her Residents Card. We married in US but she entered illegaly with false doc but then return shortly after mariage because I hated doing what we did. Simply listened to the wrong person. At the interview at the American Counsulate, they said she would need a waiver which we filed the same day - in Aug '00. I am really concerned because I know that a pardon is not guaranteed. What are my chances? How difficult will this be? What options do I have at this time? I am a US citizen by birth, does that help? Any laws on my favor? Do I have to go to court? My wife was only in US for two months and has been in Mexico since. Any advice is gretly appreciated. Please help!!!! Thanks

There is no answer to your question.. it depends on many factors.. whether there is evidence that she entered illegally, if they have proof or the documents etc... all you can do is wait and hope that they pardon her.. go see an immigration attorney to review your file if you need more peace..
