What is the name of your state? IL

I currently work for a fast growing insurance broker in Illinois, but I have a very strong feeling they're engaging into some questionable ethical business dealings.

Recently our CEO ( 10% owner ) sent out a e-mail to everyone in the office he will be giving everyone bonus money on internally moving business to this "other" insurance carrier. This "other" insurance carrier also is a owner ( 90% ) of the company I/everyone work(s) for - HUMMM???

I also want to point out this insurance carrier - owner, gives the CEO preferred interest rates on loans to buy other insurance agencies. In addition, the brokerage I work for represents 40 other insurance carriers - the front end looks very good to the customer - 40 carriers, but we always strongly suggest the other owner/insurance carrier

My question: Is this right? Legal?
