What is the name of your state?oh

I was in a car accident a few weeks ago and my car was seriously damaged. The insurance company wants to pay us $11,000 for the car. If i found 4 ads that are selling the same car with the same mileage for $16,000-$19,000 can I ask the insurance company pay us more? Will they?

first, ask the carrier to provide you the documentary basis for the $ amount they are offering you. if you dispute the sources you can provide the ads you found for higher prices.

remember though, just because someone is asking $16k does not mean they will ever sell the car for that amount. it may be a starting point for negotiations.
