Mich Can someone please tell me what they think this order means?

Each holiday as defined in the 2001 Friend of the Court Parenting Guidelines from 8:00am until 3:00pm

My attorney tells me that it means that we follow the guidlines of the handbook. Which states that the mother has baby from the day school lets out for Christmas in even number years. Meaning this year...from 6:00pm until Christmas. Then her father would get her from 8:00 am on Christmas until 3:00 pm and the same each day for the rest of the holiday vacation.

This order was written up by his attorney and signed as a temp order by the judge. Now his attorney says it is written up wrong. My attorney contacted the referree that made this recommendation and this is also the way she meant it to read. But my husband and his attorney are still saying it is wrong. But the judge signed it. And he keeps comeing over every night like it wasnt even my holiday time and then when I do not give her to him. He files a parenting complaint. Does anyone see this any different then we do? And why? Thanks

I interpret it the same way your attorney does.

It's your parenting time from 6 PM the day school recesses until 8 AM Christmas Day. Dad then gets the child from 8 AM to 3 PM Christmas Day and everyday thereafter, until the school recess is over.

His attorney drafted it. His attorney is now saying it's drafted wrong.

It's the attorney's problem. He should have said what he meant instead of not meaning what he said. :)

JMHO.... and I'm not an attorney.

I agree, stand your ground and don't let him intimidate you. He can file all the complaints that he wants...but the orders are the orders.
