Invalid address and unrecognized collection

What do you do when there is an incorrect address listed on your credit report? Due to the problems that my husband has had, I just checked my CR today and found that both my current correct address and an incorrect address are listed. Also there is a collection listed that I do not recognize (small amount, $81). I never received a letter regarding this and can only imagine that it went to the incorrect address listed. Help, what to do?

You can dispute ANY incorrect information on your credit reports, including addresses. You can either call them and get it corrected, or you can write them a dispute letter.
