sister has power of attorney, father has died and the IRS is threatening to garnish her personal wages for back taxes that he owed. She believed that the power of attorney she had was for medical purposes only. Does she have any recourse What is the name of your state?OKLAHOMA

POA's end at death so are you saying she is the executrix of the estate? If so were there assets in his name at death? How did the IRS get her name in association with your father? Need more details please.

IF she was executor of his estate, was she even aware that she needed to file a state tax return and a federal tax return regarding his estate?
