I was wondering if it was possible to sell my house to a friend for say 10 dollars, if I was in the process of a divorce. Would I have to do this before I am issued the divorce papers, or just before we are legally divorced, if it is possible at all?

If your intention is to do this so that your spouse does not end up with interest in the property or like value that he/she would otherwise be entitled to, then no.
