What is the name of your state? New Jersey

I got divorced in 1998 after 10 years of marriage. My wife had an affair. We both didn’t waive Alimony rights. I had a disability then which wasn’t bad. In addition I had a good job. I got laid off in 2002 and my disability got worse. My ex married the person she had an affair with in 2001. We have a child. My question is can I get Alimony from my ex wife at this time or is it too late?

My response:

No, not after 7 years. She's not your "cash cow". Well, she might be a cow. A court would say that you've been surviving without her for all these years, and you can continue to do so.
