missing my bro

What is the name of On march 8th my brother died after spendin 6 days in the hosiptal.

My brother went in with syptoms of pnuemonia, they started treating with vancomyicin and heprin, because they also though he may have had a blood clot. this treatment lasted for three days. on the third when he was suppose to be released something happened. His speech slurred, he was weak on his left side, and was going to the bathroom on himself in the bed. I demanded that he doctor come in and evaluate him. I was told that he was groggy from the sleep apnea and the rest was alll in his mind.

the next day th doctor told me that she couldn't justify him staying in this 4000 dollar a day room and he would have to go home tommorrow.

So for three days my brother sat in that room with out eating, drinking, and no attentive medical care, until he reached critical status. They wouldn't even change his sheets. every day i came up there he was laying in urine and fecal matter. Two days later he died of a pulmonary embolis, heart failure, and sepsis.

My brother was about 600 pounds and very active if you can believe it or not.
My brother worked as a d.j took care of my children walked and worked everyday.
But the nurses aad doctors treated him like he was a lazy fat man.

two month prior he went to the doctor and was only diagnosed with sleep apnea due to the weight. No prior major diseases or ailments.

six months after his death i recieve a letter stating that he had been treated for MRSA or Methicillian resistant Staph aureus.

considering that my brother was over 500 pounds no-one wanted to hurt themselves by trying to move him while he was in the hospital. Also I was told that their hospital didn't have the compacity or equipment to deal with someone his size which I find totally absurd. They only made an effort to treat him when i made a big fuss. The lift team at the hospital had came when they felt like it and was only available durning a certain time of the day. I should also clarify that he was treated with antibiotics for the first 3 days. The other three days he sat in the room with no medicine treatment because they were so adamant about releasing stating that he only sleep apnea.

My mother was a nurse and during her battle with cancer I soley took care of her with her training. so i know when basic health care is not being administered. the head nurse on the floor told me that they noticed a drastic change in my brother but when they informed the doctor she nevered followed up with orders.

To me it's more of a denial of health care due to his size that lead to his death. I gues what i'm asking is that enough to at least bring a civil rights suit against that hospital.

excuse typos

I you guys can give me some insite i greatly appreciate it.

You should be filing probate and ask the court to appoint you as executor of the estate. In this capacity you have the ability to consult with an attorney regarding any further action in bahalf of the estate.

We have no parents, he had no wife or children. we lived together and I was his next of kin. I have consulted numerous lawyers and as soon as they see how much he weighed they just blow me off. I just think his weight was the mitigating factor on why he didn't recieved adequate care. No I don't have POA over his affairs but do i need them considering that I'm his next of kin?
