I recently found a website that posts chat conversations between adults and what the adult believed to be a child. Of course the child is actually another adult acting like a child. The site alleges that the adults are trying to meet the children for sex. The chatlog, adults picture and phone number are all posted on their site. Apparently, lots of people use this information to contact the adult, their employer, their neighbors and so on. People have lost jobs, had to move and some have been arrested and charged with crimes. Is it legal for an internet site to post this kind of information if it was given to them in a chat?

The minute to post your information, including photo, on a public accessible forum (such as a website) then you cease ownership of that information.

Your assuming that my questioning the legality of posted information equates to me being a pedophile, that's quite a leap! Also, no I did not find the site from here, I heard about it on the news. I suppose you would think that I'm a communist if I was to question our governement
