City of hurst tx issued 2 tickets @ residence for a truck in the driveway that was insured & w a temporary tag to owner of the truck & also to son, who periodically drives the truck, because they assumed the vehicle was in his name & Mom told them he wasnt home. And issued mom same ticket as being the property owner. Son went to court & was fined $250 & mom went same day & courts told her she was NOT on docket. Now Mom has a warrant & a fine of $350 for ticket son paid $250 fine. Also, this city dept has been harrassing Mom for approx 4 yrs now for anything they can give her fines for. Mom lives on SS income & has medical issues. Mom is so fed up w the city dept & she has had to kick them off her property for derragatory comments & telling her "then just move". Moms house is paid for & has lived there many years.
Please help w advice.

I agree that it's absurd - one would think she'd take care of the problem after, say, the first citation.

Fix the vehicle or get rid of it.

Nobody is doing anything wrong to her.

She did take care of the problem. City came back looking for anything & this citation was listed "junk vehicle" & son went to court & paid $250 fine.

Imagine that - they actually followed up. I'd say kudos to the municipality, as opposed to others who never bother looking again.
