Sears ceased sending me a monthly statement. I had recently moved and informed them by letter of the change of address including the new phone number.

I informed Sears that I would not make payments if I didn't receive a monthly statement informing me of what is owed. Sears informed me that the statements were being mailed to my new address. Since I was placed on disability retirement, I'm at home during the day, all day and statements were not mailed.

It was sent to a collection agency, Advanced Call Center Technologies, for which I was informed that they didn't send out statement and that Sears would continue to mail them.
Sears stated that since the account was turned over to a CA they would discontinue mailing statements.

I was paying the CA since I know overall this is my responsibility. I missed a few payments due to a emergency and for two months the account has been reported to the CRA for the total amount remaining. I'm making payments again to the CA.

Is what they're doing reaging? If so, should I try to make a large enough payment to get it down and request by ltr that we settle the account with two payments and that they report a favorable payoff?

Thanks in advance everyone for all that you do!!!
