What is the name of your state? OHIO
I turned in my employer to the Department of Labor for overtime violations for shaving my overtime off the electronic time clock at the end of June. The DOL said they would investigate them by Labor Day weekend. I think my employer has found out that I turned them in, because they just reduced my hours to 37. For all the 7 years I've been there I've always worked 40 + hours a week. They just reduced our overall week hours to 170 a week for all our employees there. Our sales is up over $4,000 from last year for all of May, June and July. For the past 7 years in the summer our weekly hours was 200. This doesn't make since. Also for the last 2 weeks my paychecks are exactly correct. I'm getting all time paid. Does my reduction of hours to 37 sound like retailation? I thought once I turned them in they can't retalatated by reduceing my hours?? What can I do? The department of labor is so slow to investigate and hasn't showed up yet. I haven't said nothing to nobody, except here in this forum. I beginning to think the DOL must of contacted my company.
