maybe im reading that wrong but the way im reading it bankruptcy doesn't change the fact that he is still behind on support or relieve him from paying it. So how is that going to keep him out of jail for child support?

LOL well i guess that answers my question! I wasn't reading it wrong after all LOL :D

AS that link indicated BAnkruptcy puts a stay on any kind of proceeding that would put the person in jail for child support. Tne federal courts supercede the state courts and overide any judgement, finding, etc. He will have to pay it, but as I said, the BR protection gets the local courts off his back to allow him the time to work out a pay bay agreement with the BR court...

I never said he would not have to pay the debt. That is not the case. He will. But if there is a warrant for his arrest, or if he is put in jail, the BR protection will overide the local courts. And until that is settled the local courts can not touch him.
