What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? New York

I have a question about my separation from work. I originally worked for company "a" for several years. I left because the company management sucked. I went to company "b" and was there for about a year and several months before company "a" bought company "b". Company "a" gave me an offer letter and let me go a month later. They "eliminated the position" yet all the others I came over with had the same title and were still employed. I believe this is because they cut PTO that I had when I was with company "b" and I tried to negotiate and get it back. If I was the only one to get let go when that position was eliminated and there are others still there with that position, do I have a case?

A case to collect unemployment, sure.

A case to sue the employer? Nope. Not even close.

"Job eliminated" is a kind, neat way to get you gone, just because they wanted to for whatever reason. It allows you to draw unemployment benefits, and will always be the reason the company gives in reference checks for termination, which is about as good a no fault reason as you could have. They don't have to be fair. Unless there was obvious and blatant EEOC violation in their termination of you only, (such as that say you were the only woman in the group and they made it very plain that was the reason they didn't want you, for example) that's not going to be an issue either.
