Ex-boyfriend and I agree on joint shared legal and physical custody of our two boys (6 & 10 yrs old) beginning in January 2004 with the understanding that we will alternate weeks. I want to make this "official" by going to Family Court and was wondering how hard it would be and how time consuming? Also, does the fact that he is not the biological father of my 10 year old matter? He's the only father he's known and has been in his life since he was about a year old.

~~~If both of you agree on everything...it should be easy to arrange a legal physical custody arrangement. How time consuming it may depends depends on what you both agree upon as far as custody is concerned. If your ex is not on your 10 yr olds B/C...he does not have to pay CS for that child legally. Unless, he is willing to do it...and if he is, I suggest you get this done legally.
