What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Iowa

OK, so it is my second year in JROTC and they are "stepping up," on enforcing the "rules." One of those rules is that each male "cadet" most shave daily or "face push ups," (sorry to tell the "commander" I can not do them) then if you do not start you get kicked from that course until a meeting. I am wanting to know what my rights are here, I think the rule if enforcing a certain way of life in public school(s).

PS, I truly want to keep my little thing going and with what all goes on in the locker rooms (fire crackers, etc...) I do not want to take gym.

JROTC is voluntary. If you don't want to follow the rules, quit.

If you continue, their rules apply.

on a personal note: maybe JROTC and you are not a good fit. It is intended to build character but being a character is not welcome.

Your "rights" in the JROTC are to do what you are told, or to quit.

Period.

At 15, it's about time you learned that you're not always going to get everything you want in life, and that sometimes you have to do things you don't want to do. Life's going to treat you pretty harshly until you get that lesson down.
