What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? FL

Is it normal in Family Law cases to have the judge reassigned once a year? In the last 3 years I have had 3 different judges assigned to our case. Is it just due to caseload?

I ask because upon checking the online docket this morning for my case I saw that the judge has once again changed..

Not sure if that's good, bad, or irrelevant for my case.

In general that's unusual, but it might not be unusual for your county. It depends on caseloads, dockets and schedules.

Yes, it is normal. Over a 2 year period my husband had 6 hearings, with 6 different Judges. The Judges are rotated through the circuit once a year. In addition, even if a particular Judge is assigned to family court, you might have a different Judge because the assigned Judge is ill, or having to fill in in other courts, such as felony, because that assigned Judge has recused him/herself.
