1. A total of 10 absentee ballots were submitted in accordance. Only one ballot was accepted and the other nine were not allowed for count. The one accepted is my ballot and the other nine were from our junior volunteers who range from ages 16-18. These volunteers are in good standing as members of little league 03432410. During the 2006 season these members accepted the lion’s share of volunteer hours. It is a travesty that their voices were not heard through their vote because other members felt it would not be in their own best interest therefore disregarding the election chairmen to allow the votes to be counted. These members have used the Little Leagues name to their benefit and this is unjust.

2. I feel the action taken from certain members to disallow the nine votes have discriminated against the young volunteers because of their age. My daughter is one of these volunteers whose voice is not being heard through her vote. She has faithfully committed herself to this non profit organization as a volunteer in many capacities’ such as Registration assistant, Recruiting little leaguers, Assistant coach, Official Score keeper, Concession Duties, Field maintenance and cleanup. The other eight volunteers gave of themselves alongside my daughter.

There appears to be a question about the policies of a little league organization here but I fail to see a legal question. The ADA does not apply in this situation, age discrimination is legal in cases specific suspect classes of citizens, ie, juveniles under the age of 18. Other than attempting to change certain rules or policies involving the organization, the OP can do nothing to help.
