What is the name of your state?California, If female is "verbally" abused and/or threatened physical harm by a person who then walks away after the alleged threat/verbal abuse, and now she travels to another county, and eventually notified the police, Does the report get taken and sent to the county where the offense occured or should the officer instruct/suggest that she go back to the county and file there. With no other acts comnmitted against her/the victim, in or out of either county, does the District Attorny in the second county where she drove to visit friends, and reported the offense, have jurisdiction over the offense comitted in her home county where the offense took place. If possible could someone give me exact law codes, etc so I may look them up and understand it more fully, Due to physical problems its very hard to travel to a law/legal source. Thanks

All complaints of Harassment

Have to filed in the City/ county of occurance. Thats called Jurisdiction. You can report it anywhere, but to actually file / lodge a complaint. It has to be where that person committed that offense. dk.
