What is the name of your state? OH

Just wanted to give those of you who helped me out and knew the situation and update.
After almost two years of back and forth, and all the fighting. Msdad has "conceded" and is allowing my husband to adopt my son. He met my son in early September at the psychologist office. The doctor let me stay in with all of them (if I didn't speak) and my son had a list of questions that he and the doctor came up with in one of their sessions. My son spat them all out, and some of them made me almost fall out of my chair. He even said "my mom and dad say that I might like you, that just makes them as dumb as you are". My son said things that blew my mind! It lasted only 10 minutes and we left. After that msdad dropped off the face of the earth, in regards to therapy, bills, child support, medical, etc. My attorney called me and told me that he is now only speaking through his attorney and he is done, and wants this over as quickly as possible. I offered an "open" adoption of sorts. Pictures, letters, emails, phone calls a couple times a year. I figured that would make it easier for my son when he's older to seek him out if he wants, yet still give us the legal security. He said he wants nothing to do with "it" at all anymore.
We are almost done with it all. His papers and ours are all filed, and we have out court date.

Oh, and for those who remember his girlfriend with the kids...dumped him. Smart girl.

So big thanks for the support and help you guys gave me. Just wanted to let you know how it ended. What is the name of your state?

Congrats from me as well. Your son deserves to have the family that he wants. Blessings to all of you.

Excellent - very glad to hear that your son will now have a stable home with a father who loves him.
