What is the name of your state? Alabama..

I appied for a change of status at the end of June this year along with filing a 1765 in order to be allowed to obtain a employment certificate, ssn etc. I have yet to receive any information back form the BCIS other than that they have received my payments and I should wait for further communications, I have treid to contact them several times, even through lawyers and my local senator. I just can not get any in formation.
What can I do now?

I go through the similar situation. I applied in early August and just get payement receipt only so I was so worry. Then last few days ago I got notice of action for my I 485 application, I765 and I131with seperate letters. They mentioned that I need to make schdule for fingure print also. So you just need to wait for those kind of letters from NCSC National Customer Service Center , MO(even I filed in NYC local BCIS office).
Yesterday was 91st day of my original application so I went to local NYC BCIS office to claim for EAD. They give me a form to fill out and take picture and give me EAD within an hour. I need to give them a copy of the letters I got from NSCS. So without that letters cannot claim for EAD. I heard many people waiting for 6 months etc.
fFirst if you want to ask them please call 1800-375 5283 and there are many options and I think option 9 personal assistant and someone will answer what you asked. Before receiving letters from NCSC I frequently asked them like that. Please try.

By the way for the SSN I went to SSN office after getting my EAD but I got to wait for few days or 10 days because I have A ... number and SSN office checked that with their authorized computer and the BCIS donot write anything along with my A number in their data. SSN office asked me to wait for 10 days maximum and even 10 days after issuing of EAD and no data in A... number information they will issue SSN to me. So just be patient and noway rather than wait.

MMM2003 can you clarify something for me?
You counted 91 days from the date on the little yellow fee receipt or from the "Received Date" on the Notice of Action?
You said it was 91 days "of your original application". That would make it the date on the yellow fee receipt, am I correct?

Sorry for my late reply.
No the date I submitted to BCIS. I submitted on August 4 and they received on August 5. Just a day difference. But I got to show them the date of certified mail receipt that I have sent.
And also I need to show them notice of action I received nowadays but they have written that they received my application on Aug 5 the same date on yello paper payment receipt.
But if in thsoe cases better to go 91st the receipt date. I went to BCIS just to enquire waht should I do. I hope I will do the following day. They give me to do that immediately same day.
