I'm in Pennsylvania. In 2000 I was told my house would be forclosed on by the mortgage company. It's 2017, and they still haven't done anything. They wouldn't take my money and I haven't heard from them since. I want to keep the house. How can I legally make this mine? My mortgage was sold to another party in 2000. That's where the problem started, because I was paying to a company that did the own my mortgage anymore, for a year. Got my money back, tried to pay it to new company, they wouldn't accept it. That was the last I heard from them.

I don't understand, did the mortgage company abandons the property? I'm now afraid to look and get things riled up again, yet want to keep the house.

You've been putting your monthly mortgage payments in to an account, right? I hope it's been a savings account, so at least you'll have collected interest...

So, 17 years ago they told you that your house would be foreclosed upon? Nothing has happened since? Have you at least been paying the property taxes and insurance?
