What is the name of your state? Re: OK

I don't know what happened to your thread but it's closed now and I can't respond on there.

Sounds like your attorney owes you $1500. I don't remember exactly, but someone on here said something about getting a copy of the bill and getting them to fill out a list of things about the bill. I wish I knew which post it was on and who posted it.

If you have copies of the reciepts or cancelled checks, I'd get them and get a copy of the billing. Then you can write them a letter, and make a copy for yourself, telling them they overcharged you. If they refuse to cooperate call the bar association and Attorney General to see what further steps you can take.

Ask for an itemized bill, including any credits (due to the retainer, back support check, money from the ex). Go over it with a fine tooth comb, and if there's a discrepancy where you still feel he owes you - tell him you need to discuss it or will file a complaint with the state board (tho you should read your retainer agreement to see if you can do that or if you agreed to binding mediation).
