I seriously doubt you will get into major trouble- you thought you were following the order, obviously the order needs to be clarified on both points. Request clarification.

ETA- you still need to defend yourself properly though, either get an attorney in NY or study up on the elements for contempt and what you need to do to respond to the motion.
