What is the name of your state? Arkansas
I thought I had a hearing this morning to fight my Ex's Chapter 13, but after getting there, found out it was the Trustee's hearing. I now have a hearing in Sept.

I did get a chance to pass on to the Trustee all the info I had & to my Ex's attorney (I had eveything typed up & in folders)
I picked up Proof of Claims forms while I was there (as through my Divorce Decree allowed me to file a "lien" on my Ex's share of his Mother's Estate, which I had done, so I am a secured creditor) I will get these filled out & sent in today.

I spent most of yesterday in the Probate court & even talked to the Judge's Clerk who told me to write a letter to the Probate Judge (who was also the judge in our divorce) telling herwhat I had told him & to mail it to every one involved in the Estate. I did that yesterday & got them into the mail last night.

But, while talking to the Trustee, she stressed I needed an attorney to be with me during the hearing. I explained that my Ex's filing has caused me to file a Chapter 7 & I just don't have any money left to do this.

Can I not fight his hearing by myself? I just have to see that the "liens" I filed on his share of the Estate are paid. (more of this info was on other postings)
I am so disillutioned that the system doesn't seem to work for the small guy, only the attorneys & the ones who can afford them. I had my attorney look over what I had before going today & I felt confident that I was on the right track even if I didn't know any of the lingo. I just cannot afford to keep throwing money after this unless I get some type of reassurance that I might be able to keep those "liens" safe.

Where do I go to find out about what to do in the hearing? How to present my "case"? Any help would begrateful.
