Hi Lana,
I was just wondering if you could clear up a few things for me. I am a Canadian who came to the US on dec 18 for christmas hollidays and ended up staying and getting married on Feb 8...
I would like to stay in the US while my papers are being processed....will I get into trouble if I dont go back to Canada within the 90 days...is this considered overstay even though I am now married to a US citizen? Also, I have heard that I need to file my papers before the 90 days so that I am in pending status and I have also been told I should file my papers after the 90 days so it doesn't look like I had the intent of coming over to the US to marry and stay....this is very confusing!!! I plan to get a lawyer but it would help if we had a bit more time to save some money first....can you tell me when is the best time to proceed with filing?

Thanks for the help
