What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? Michigan
I hold a land contract in Michigan on a small restaurant business and building. The buyer is behind 7 months in payments. Can I foreclose on my own. What legal papers would I need ? I really can't afford a lawyer and the buyer knows that so it makes him feel free not to pay up. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. If the only solution is to hire a lawyer does anyone know in what price range this will run?

Go to this website http://www.prepaidlegal.com/
For about $25/month + $10 one time enrollment fee you will have to pay,you will get the legal services you need. You will have to spend $ to get $. And this is the cheapest way to go. By the way, this website was recommended in one of the real estate books recommended by The Wall Street Journal's Real Estate section.
