What is the name of your state? Alabama

I've been hearing strange noises for the pass few weeks.
Today my husband and I heard the noises again and decided
to find out what it was.
Theres a big gully toward the end of our property,
the way the land lines run, a little of the gully might belong to
my neighbor, but most of it belongs to us, we have survey papers.
Anyway we found our neighbor in the big hole clearing away some bushes.
He said he was planning to turn it into a Pond.

My concern is most of it belongs to us legally and by survey papers
and I think he is trying to take our property from us
by cleaning it out and claiming it as his. Can he do this?
We also Pay Taxes on the property.

Will this Pond make our property Taxes go up?

Also Can he claim it as his just because he cleaned it out
and turned it into a pond? I don't want to fight with the neighbor,
but I don't want to give away my Land either.
Please Help.

Also I was cleaning out my side of the property line today and the bad neighbors tried to get their dog to attack me, and I was on My Own property, not his!
I don't understand why they are not in prison already, a few years ago he was charged with raping his 15 year old step daughter, recently 2 drug busts, and the ongoing meth problem over there. Still they Keep their property and have Not went to jail.
Now they are trying to claim some of our land that does not belong to them.
and Every time we start to put up a fence they harass us in some way.

If I filed harassment charges on them and the sheriff actually arrested them
they would get back out and proably kill me, or do something to my car, or put nails in my drive way, or burn my place down. They are dangerous neighbors.

I would Love to find another place and just move, but my husband insists on staying here because of good neighbors he went to school with on the other side of us.

Go to the links up top and find a real estate atty , bring your survey with you and let the atty send them a letter telling them to stop or your going to take legal action. Consider putting up a fence to fence your property in. Footnote here > on the pond and its so called value, you know unless it has a reasonable source of incoming water , either via spring or so called creek or large source of fresh rain run off likely all it would become is swampy muddy weed pond, that would have no major value as soon as it turns to skeeter breeding site.
