What is the name of your state? Texas

This question is in regard to timely payment. I work at a hospital which pays bi-weekly. I was was unable to clock in due to a lost badge. When i did recieve my new badge ,which i paid five dollars for, I was unable to clock in because the payroll coordinator did not activate the badge. I spoke to my director on 11/22/04 and told her the situation and that she needed to put in my PTO( paid time off) time for the paycheck. When I received my check there was only one day worth of pay on the check. I called her immediately and she stated due to it being the holidays there was nothing she nor I could do except to wait for the next pay period and my missing hours would be added on to the next check. I do not want to do this due to the fact that the taxes taken off due to increased income will reduce my pay. Is there any law or statute that pertains to timely pay. Thank you very much.
