What is the name of your state? MI

I hired a lawyer to help me with some contract negotiations. He is well known supposedly within health care and has extensive experience with negotiations. He has charged me $1200 so far for review of 2 contracts. My question is, everything he does is by phone and email. I have not been to his office or been face to face with him. Is this normal? I don't feel like I'm getting my money's worth here. Additionally I have not received anything as far as a written opinion. Everything has been verbal. This does not seem right to me either. Am I wrong here?

My attorney and I do everything by email, mainly. It saves time from playing phone tag, and I get more direct responses. Welcome to progress. You should request an appt. to meet with him or maybe even stop in the office to introduce yourself. You will be charged for all calls and emails, you can keep track of the time easy, since emails have date and time sent. Ask him what his hourly rate is, and don't be afraid to ask him about billing erors. Faith
