What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Indiana

Does anyone know anything about the lazy judge rule? There was a civil lawsuit filed in my hometown. The hearing was Sept. 5. The judge has not yet issued his opinion. The judge agreed to dismiss the case but no written ruling has been issued stating his grounds for dismissal.
