I attended medical school for 2 years, completing successfully however after 2 years I was not able to pass a comprehensive exam so I withdrew. but I couldn't understand why I would have so many difficulties so I sought testing, IQ and other educational tests done by a speech pathologist. It was found that I do have a "Language Learning Disability." I have particular problems with word retrieval. I notified the school of the findings and said under IDEA with the appropriate academic accommodations I would like to retake that final exam and if I were to pass continue to my third year. They refused stating that I already withdrew, period. I always had my suspicions about a learning disorder but never sought help until I hit a brickwall, apparently this happens to people often.

Do I have any recourse? Or should I cry a lot then move on?
