It is not the child's choice to be able to stomp all over due process. She has to consent to be adopted at that time but that doesn't forgo the issue of service.I was under the impression that at the age of 12 it becomes the child's consent to be adopted. The father can still step forth but ultimately after the age of twelve it is up to the child. If that is wrong, please correct me, and possibly add a link to a page that says differently.
