My response:

You have no rights, except to move. The lease is in his name, no matter who's paying. Therefore, it's his residence.

My response:

I cannot help you because you've apparently changed the facts of your story.

Didn't you say, in your initial post, that:

"his name is on the lease only" ?

It is very important that you maintain the same facts, unless you are confused about your facts.

My response:

It doesn't matter who pays the bills, or the lease payments.

If his name is on the lease, then he has every right to live in the house, and to have access to the house.

If you don't want to pay for this "deadbeat" any longer, then it's up to you to leave and to cancel all of the utilities that are in your name.

You don't have to "relocate" - - just move to another house within the same area. And, make sure you keep the keys to yourself this time.

If you need a roommate, then make sure you run a credit check, making sure that person works. Unless you are married, never put someone else's name on a lease. That way, you can use your State laws to make them leave.

But, you can't make your "boyfriend" leave your current house if his name is on the lease.

Good luck to you.
