Hi, A few years ago I made some short films which were quite popular and truly unique. I’m thinking about selling the source footage (DV) that was used to create the short films publicly, but I’m unsure of the legalities (if any) of doing this.

The footage shows large crowds of people with lots of close ups and interviews with industry famous people, but I don’t have any release forms from them.

If I sell them, and the buyer does something with them that upsets someone, will I be liable at all, having filmed them

filming them isn't the problem. the problem is when you sell tapes of the footage without paying the people in the film or obtaining releases from them.
