What is the name of your state? Ohio.

My question is this. I'm pretty sure its illegal, but theres a problem.

I get paid from the time I get punch in on the time clock, until I finish my last job. But, I am in a company vehicle. I have to return the vehicle to my companys' office, and do a few small chores there (fill out time card and take in dirty towels (I'm a window cleaner)). I would say I average about 45 minutes time, unpaid, driving the work vehicle back to the office. Sometimes more, sometimes less.

My boss says, Im not earning him money, so I dont get paid.

Secondly, this is a small biz. There are 4 ppl working. myself, my partner, the boss, and a secretary. If I report him for this, I would probably lose my job....

advice, please?

And if he fires you for talking to the DOL, make sure you tell them that's happened. It's illegal, and they'll amend your claim to include it.
