I bought a 2005 ford focus from a friend that she had bought brand new from the dealership. The car is a lemon, the clutch went on me 3 times now. The car has just a little over 1,000 miles on it. My question is can I file for lemon law? If so, is there anything I may need from the original owner?

Thanks

lemon law on used car

california

The car has been in a ongoing lawsuit just until last week actually after winning my court case, but the car basically has been sitting in a driveway for the last three years with no legal owner until now. Would that help me at all for filing for lemon law? Also if not, what about transferring the car back into the original owner's name? Her being a friend and me assuming she would do so. Could she then file for lemon law?

Try learning how to drive a stick.;)

A clutch is considered a "Wear Item" for 2 reasons. One is the literal definition of the term, the other involved the operator's input at the other end.
