My lender forgot to file a "Deed of Trust" on an a 500k equity line I pulled out over three and a half years ago...now they are asking me very nicely to sign a Deed of Trust.
I suspect that I could, tell them NO and file bankruptcy immediately... or I could try to negotiate a better interest rate... or even forgiveness on a portion of the loan... or i could be nice an just sign the papers...
but I’d like to know if anyone has seen this problem and what my options are...my real estate attorney has never heard of such a thing... and is looking into the legal aspects of it (maybe I need a new attorney)... but that could take time....
if anyone has any suggestions please speak up
