What is the name of your state? Missouri

Husband was divorced in PA. Ex moved to Missouri with the kids to shack up with man who is now her husband. My husband filed for custody in PA to protect his right to see the children. She delayed by convincing our lawyer she was about to settle and thereby she kept getting court dates postponed. Then...when she had residency for six months in Missouri--she filed in Missouri. Now she delayed because of jurisdiction issues. Case kept bouncing back and forth because noone had officially claimed jurisdiction. She also kept getting "close to settling" so we postponed court dates. It was all an attempt to break my husband.

Two years went by...we pulled the case out of PA to finally get it wrapped up. Judges in Missouri got frustruated as well and ordered the kids and the parents into counseling. Counselor said the ex coached the kids. Ex-wife got scared as to what would happen in court. On top of it--when she asked for discovery from my husband--he handed over five pounds of paper she didn't expect including phone logs and police reports on her bad behavior.

Well...to get out of the trial...she had the case dismissed in Missouri. We had NO CONTROL because we didn't file in Missouri. Now we have to start ALL OVER again.

The ex has the kids in Missouri...we are stuck in PA. She has NOTHING to gain by a parenting agreement so she is working the system to DELAY DELAY DELAY.

So...if you have a two state battle...be warned.
