My son opened a credit card account and authorized his Uncle as a second card holder. The Uncle called the bank a posed as my son and changed the address for billing. That was two years ago the bill has been going to Arizona and the Uncle has been using the card and paying on it. The balanced owed is now $12,000 and when my son discovered this he told the Uncle he was canceling the account the Uncle now refuses to pay the debt. The charges were made in Arizona and my son lives in Washington. My son has not charged on this card at all. He opened the account to help his Uncle regain credit status. I know, I know but there must be something that can be done. My son was 18 at the time and the Uncle 27.
