It is my understanding that the only time someone can sue you for libel/slander is if the remarks are untrue. If what is being said is verifiable and factual, there is no legal grounds for suing. Can someone say whether this is correct of not????

Truth offers an ABSOLUTE defense to a claim of defamation. But it sometimes is hard to prove. Truth is not a defense to a claim about invasion of privacy however.
