I am a single mother of two and I recently found out that my licence has been suspended for non payment of child support for children that the county gave me custody of. I stood to loose everything again. I have had to work very hard to get my children back after my incarseration and I am having a hard time providing for them with the state taking half of my paycheck each month for the last month and a half. I got that cleared up and have made to verify that I do indeed have custody when, like I said, the county gave them back to me. It seams that everytime I turn around this county is trying to make me fail again. I need to find out if I have a case against the county and if there is a lawyer who is willing to take this case on a contingency basis as the only income is mine. The fathers are not paying their child support and yet the state/county is going after me for the money. I understand that I need to pay back the money spent while my children were in foster care and I don't have a problem with this. What I do have a problem with is the harassement I have been recieving and the stress this has put on my family. My children have been through enough and it is time this stopped. Is there a lawyer who can help me at a reasonable cost or on a contingency basis?

Do you still owe money from back when the children were not with you? If this is the case, and you are not paying that back; then their actions on revoking your license were/are valid. Even though the children are with you now, you still have to pay what was ordered in the past.
