What is the name of your state? Texas

I am interested in purchasing a bar and I was told by a friend that I will not be able to get a liquor license because of the existing business I am in (selling pool tables and gaming machines to other bars). My existing business has nothing to do with this bar that I want to buy, so I don't know why it matters. Anyways, assuming that this is true could I have my girlfriend purchase the bar in her name and apply for the liquor license? My girlfriend has nothing to do with my existing business. The reason I ask is that we live together and so our address is the same.

You need to ask the bureaucrats who issue liquor licenses your questions.

It doesn't make any difference what any of us think.
