Loan payment via payroll deduction

My employer loaned me a few hundred dollars last fall. I would like to repay my employer by way of payroll deduction. My boss is ok with this. We do need know first if this is this legal in Maine? If so, are there any guidelines/forms that are required?

Yes, it's legal. You should sign a payroll deduction authorization though. Most if not all States require specific written authorization from an employee before any payroll deductions can be made.
